DR.
BANKOLE SODIPO, Barrister and a Solicitor and the Managing
Partner with the Law firm of Chief G.O. Sodipo & Co. Lagos. He
was a member of the 1988 Copyright Drafting Law Committee that
prepared the Nigerian Copyright Act 1988. He has contributed to
teaching the Masters programme at Queen Mary & Westfield
College, University of London and was a visiting guest lecturer at
the Nigeria Law School. He is a regular contributor to leading
international journals.
His
major publications include a book on Nigeria’s Foreign
Investment Law and Intellectual Property Rights and a book on Piracy and Counterfeiting: GATT-TRIPS and Developing
Countries. He has also worked with leading firm of solicitors
and at Barristers’ chambers in London.
He
organizes and speaks at conferences in Nigeria and Internationally;
these include the Frankfurt Book Fair, the Copyright Society of
America; the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the
University of Maastrict.
He
is a visiting guest lecturer at the University College, London; an
Adjunct Research Fellow at the Intellectual Property Institute,
Queen Mary, University of London and a Consultant to the World
Intellectual Property Organization. He handles contentious and
non-contentious matters. He is the President of the Intellectual
Property Law Association of Nigeria which is the local organization
that liases between the government and the private sector in
lobbying for reforms in the administration, adjudication and
enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights. He was a member of the
committee that drafted Nigeria’s Intellectual Property Policy.

FEMI FAJOLU is an Attorney and Partner in the Lagos City firm of
Chief G.O. Sodipo & Co, where he works on Litigation,
Arbitration, Aviation, Company Commercial, Intellectual Property,
Labour Issues, Property Issues, Chieftaincy, Wills and Estate
matters.
He has worked with
the United States Department of Commerce to organize and took part
in programmes on Intellectual Property Rights, Government Ethics and
Project Finance.
He has also
participated in the Project Finance for Ferries and Metro-Train in
Lagos State, which is ongoing.
He has participated in developing programmes to develop
integration in Africa and ECOWAS through the U.S. CLDP.
He is involved in organizing workshops on various issues on
Law and Ethics. He has
attended conferences both in Nigeria and Internationally.
He was a member of a Federal Government Committee that worked
on the formation of the Intellectual Property Commission in Nigeria.
He participated in the International Maritime Organisation
Seminar and Workshop on “Piracy and Armed Robbery Against Ships
and International Commercial Arbitration in the African
Sub-Region”.
He is involved with the formation and setting up of the newly proposed
Intellectual Property Commission and the draft bill on it, which
took care of the administrative
framework and the amendment of the laws. He is involved with advising the Federal Government on the
private sector initiative of the Intellectual regime and compliance
with TRIPPS/WTO agreement.
Prior to joining the
law firm of Chief G.O. Sodipo & Co, Femi Fajolu worked with
C.S.S. Bookshop Ltd, U.B.A. PLC, Sola Akinyede & Co, Adeniyi
Coker Architects where he was the Company Secretary and Head of
Admin. These jobs
exposed him to work ethics in large establishments.
Femi
Fajolu has an L.L.B. (Hons) Degree in Law and a B.L. Certificate
from the Nigerian Law School.
He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Intellectual
Property Association of Nigeria and the Christian Lawyers Fellowship
of Nigeria.
He is active in several domestic and international
organisations that seeks to promote good governance and improve
business relationships between developed countries and Nigeria and
other African countries.

KENT AMARACHI
NNADOZIE attended the University of Benin from 1983 -
1987. He attended the Nigerian Law School in 1987 and had the best
result in Legal Drafting and Conveyancing in the bar exams.
He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1988. He has a Masters
in Business Administration from the Lagos Business School, which was
awarded in conjunction with the International Graduate School of
Management, Barcelona, Spain.
Kent Nnadozie has acted has as consultant for
organizations such as the International Plant Genetic Resources
Institute (IPGRI) Rome, International Center for Research in Agro-
forestry Nairobi, United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP)
e.t.c. He was a member
of the Nigerian delegation to the 4th and 5th
Conference of Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity in
1998 and 2000. He is also the Co-ordinator, West Africa for the
Global Diversity Institute e.t.c.
He has since graduation engaged in general legal practice
with emphasis on Intellectual Property, Corporate law and
Environmental law focusing especially on all aspects of genetic
resources, pollution control and remediation law.
Mr. Kent has contributed to and delivered a lot
of papers some of which include “Biodiversity Prospecting Trust
Funds: Sharing Financial Benefits”, “Legal Aspects of
Environmental Problems in Petroleum Operations”, “Voluntary and
Non-regulatory Approaches to Environmental Protection”,
“Regional Approaches to the Regulation of Access and Benefit
Sharing: Issues and Trends in Africa”, “Private Sector
Involvement in the Implementation of the CBD and UNFCCC in
Nigeria”, “Environmental and Community Issues and the Nigerian
Oil and Gas Industry: The Way Forward” e.t.c.

Daniel Ozoma is a law graduate from
Enugu state University of Science and Technology (ESUTECH). After
graduation he went to the Nigeria Law School Bwari and graduated and was
called to the Nigeria Bar in January 2001.
Since graduating he had had practical
experience in the various field of law and his quite comfortable with the
law of Intellectual Property and general Litigation. In his working
experience, he has had some working instinct with the firm of Anya &
Ofordile, Dele Ojiegbede & Co. and Ajubuike Obiekwe & Co.
He presently works with Chief G.O.

Mosunmola Oke
is an Associate in the Law Firm of Chief G.O. Sodipo & Co. she
attended St. Bartholomew College, Wusasa, Zaria, from 1990-1993, then
proceeded to Zamani College, Kaduna from 1993 to 1996. Immediately
thereafter, she proceeded to the Ogun State University, Ago- Iwoye, to
study law. She graduated therefrom in 2002 and proceeded to the Nigerian
Law School (Enugu Campus) and was called to the Bar in 2003.
Thereafter, during
her service year she took up an appointment with the law firm of M. J.
Onigbanjo & Co. from 2003-2005.
Job Description: Responsible for handling in conjunction with the
principal all matters relating to litigation. Her areas of expertise also
includes preparing and filing suits in court (civil and criminal),
researching into legal topics, making appearances in court on behalf of
the firm, all of the solicitors work of the firm, represents the firm at
Annual General and Board Meetings of both public and private companies to
which the firm acts as Company Secretaries, her field of work also
includes but is not limited to the following areas
Issuing notices of & attending Board and Annual General meetings,
preparing minutes of deliberations, drafting and filing of various
resolutions, conducting legal research/rendering legal advice,
incorporation of companies, effecting increases in share capital and
filing the necessary documents with the Corporate Affairs Commission,
drafting of various agreements, filing and registration of trademarks
& letters of patent, obtaining letters of administration, managing
properties for various clientele, drafting conveyancing agreements,
conducting searches at the lands registry, perfection of deeds/legal
mortgages, maintaining the files/library registers and general
administrative activities, liaising with tenants of properties managed by
the firm with respect to their tenancies.
She is a member of the Nigeria Bar Association.
She has also participated
in so many conferences and seminars among which are “Exclusive
Interactive Business Lunch Session organized by the Nigerian Chamber of
Shipping”, she was also an active contributor to the Peacemaker
International training workshop which encourages mediation and Alternative
Dispute Resolution; she also participated in the workshop organized by the
International Bar Association on Introduction to Mergers and Acquisitions.
